Sharon's latest children's book is Barky’s Bone

Nine year old cousins, Becky and Quentin Burkey, decide to search for buried treasure on their grandparent’s farm. Becky’s Beagle dog, Barky, is their enthusiastic digging companion. The children have dreams of finding a pirate chest full of precious jewels and gold coins. After digging in the hot sun most of the summer, they do make a spectacular find, only it is a prize they could never have imagined in ten thousand years! What has Barky unearthed? Can the two cousins tell Grandpa what Barky found without giving him a heart attack? Join the two while they go on field trips that teach them about their interesting discoveries. They soon realize that true riches can take many different forms.



Author Sharon Schenbeck grew up, reading, writing and telling stories. She has two grown daughters and lives in central Ohio with her husband, Richard and one feisty cat who acts like a dog.
